# For these TPg degrees, only graduands who fulfilled the graduation requirements in Fall 2021 will be invited to this Summer Congregation. Students who will fulfill the graduation requirements in Spring 2022 will be conferred in the Winter Congregation 2022.

Venue: Grand Hall, Centennial Campus, HKU 

Please arrive at the Grand Hall by 2:00 pm at the latest in full academic dress (gown, hood, and cap). The Congregation is a solemn occasion where all attendees are expected to dress formally. Graduands who are not in full academic dress or do not meet the dress code will NOT be permitted to ascend to the stage. More details on the loan of academic dress will be provided by the University in June at

In light of the improved COVID-19 situation, each graduand may invite up to two guests to the on-campus live broadcast session of the Congregation. Please visit to confirm your attendance and order guest tickets by 13 June 2022.  Requests for late registration after the deadline will not be considered, and walk-ins will not be accommodated.  The graduand/guest tickets will be mailed to you upon confirmation of your graduation status.  (Note: If you fail to complete all the graduation requirements by the end of Semester 2 of 2021-22, your registration will become invalid automatically.)

Until further notice, anyone who wishes to enter the HKU campus is required to use the LeaveHomeSafe mobile application to scan the venue QR code and demonstrate compliance with the Vaccine Pass requirement. Please refer to for the latest requirements. Grand Hall is a premise holding the place of public entertainment license. All participants who enter the Grand Hall must scan the “LeaveHomeSafe” (LHS) venue QR code for the Grand Hall, and they must fulfil the Vaccine Pass requirements and scan the vaccination record with the“QR Code Verification Scanner” onsite.

Please understand that the University may have to make appropriate adjustments for both the Congregation and the on-campus live broadcast session, and/or switch to online Congregation at short notice if the pandemic situation deteriorates again to the extent that mass gatherings are no longer permitted. Late May 2022: Graduands, Prize Winners and Dean’s Honours recipients will receive an invitation letter (by post and by e-mail).

Mid-July 2022: Delivery of the name badge (serves as admission ticket) to local students by post. Non-local students are required to collect their name badge at the counter on the day of the congregation.
